As I was cleaning out my daughter’s closet, I noticed that I needed to make her a few fun colorful skirts for the summer. Living in Texas gets really hot, so I wanted a few easy, breezy skirts for her to twirl around in.
It seems that I can never just go in a fabric store and just leave with the items on my list. Oh no, it rarely happens to me. I always end up buying more than I need. LOL. I know some of you can relate to what I am talking about. It can be quite addictive.
I always like to ask my daughter’s opinion on what fabrics she likes. She loves blue so, there will have to be a blue skirt in there LOL. Of all the fabrics that I had, I made a total of 11 skirts. In which she can easily wear them with a nice colorful or white top. So now she will be all ready for summer. Next, I will be making a few shorts for her to play around in when we are off to the park.
Sewing is fun, it relaxes me and it is a joy to sew for my daughter. If you love to sew as much as I do, share some of your wonderful creations with us or tell me what you planning on making for the summer.
Happy Sewing everyone!
Sincerely,

Hi,
I just had to leave a comment when I saw your post. Your skirts are so cute. I used to sew many of my daughters clothes when she was little.
I can also relate to the fabric purchases. I’m glad I found your site.
Happy Sewing,
Tamara
Aww…so cute. Makes me wish I had a little girl…and a sewing machine. 🙂
That is one seriously cute pile of skirts. Though I have to say, I was hoping for a pattern. I could use all the help I can get.
So cute!
I wish I knew how to sew. So cute!
How adorable. I wish I was crafty or could at least sew 😉
You always inspire me with all your creations. These are so cute. You make me want to step outside of the box and try something new…like sewing…Thank you for that!
Adorable skirts! Love them.
I wish I was crafty LOL.

That is so cute!! I really need to learn how to sew!!
Very bright and perfect for summer! I wish I could sew… but it’s not one of my strong suits.
Oh how cute are these?!? My daughter wears skirts exclusively and I am a sewer…so I am really going to have to try to make these! Thanks so much! 🙂
These are so pretty and look fabulous for Summer! Thanks for sharing!
I love to sew and have the same problem in fabric and craft stores….always leave with things not on my list and even MORE projects to work on. I have a little boy and have been sewing him shorts lately. It’s very rewarding to see how cute he looks in them.
