I must say of all the craft activities I have done with my daughter, making Clay Chibis are the most fun I have ever had with her. Not only is it entertaining, but it shows her creativity and sculpture skills. I am totally hooked on making fun items out of Polymer Clay.
My daughter is into drawing, and as she and my husband were browsing on the internet to find tutorials on how to draw a Chibi. If you don’t know what a Chibi is, well join the crowd. I had to have my daughter tell me what they were. A Chibi is a Japanese word that means “short person” or “small child.” The word became popular in the manga and anime world. They are usually cute, very animated, and small characters.
Well, one video led to another and then they came across a video that was talking about Polymer Clay Chibis. They showed how to make little dolls, charms and pretty much anything you can think of, only they were all small. Sophia was so excited to make her own Polymer Clay Chibi that we decided to go to Micheal’s, and lucky us they were having a sale on Polymer Clay. Nonetheless, my husband said get every color you want, and did we ever. Since, then Our house has been invaded by Chibis. We had so much fun making Chibis, I decided to make a video. I hope you all like it.
Sincerely,
