My little William sure loves his Nogginstik, especially when the head changes colors. It always makes him giggle.  My daughter Sophia loves to move the Nogginstik away from him, so he can crawl toward it.  This encourages him to crawl and his reward is to hold on to the rattle.  He loves to shake the rattle a lot and he sure love the bottom of the base because there is a mirror on it.  This is definitely not just a toy, but a learning rattle too.
