Another lovely holiday book for the little ones to enjoy would be the Happy’s Christmas Gift, by Geoff Parker Sr. and illustrated by Lisa Fox. The minute I received this book to review, I knew Sophia would just love it. First of all, she wants a dog for Christmas, and second of all my mother in law has a Yorkie named “Polly” that we dog sit for her quite often. So when Sophia saw the book, she loved it and immediately screamed “That looks just like Polly!” Do you know what she said immediately after? That we should get Polly a Santa hat and put it on her. LOL.
Here is a little bit more about Happy’s Christmas Gift: Oh no! Happy is in trouble again! Having gone out to post his Christmas letter to Santa, he suddenly finds himself on an unexpected journey. Although Happy is cold and scared at first, his adventure takes a turn and delivers him to magical lands where he discovers that dreams really can come true. Can Happy save the day? And more importantly, will he get home in time for Christmas? An adorable character and wonderful, traditional Christmas story brought to life by beautiful illustrations. A treasure of a book that will stand the test of time and will surely be a favorite read for all generations.
Why I love this book is because it shows that Happy has a huge heart, and he also helps others during the Christmas season. Not only do we love dogs, but he is also happens to be a Yorkie which resembles “Polly” too. This would definitely make a great Holiday Gift for those little ones that love to read. The book Happy’s Christmas Gift is available at Happy Tales Publishing. It is available in both English and Spanish, hard cover or paper back, and it retails for $19.99.
Happy Holidays!
