I was quite excited about this Electronic Scrabble Twist game from Hasbro. I remember playing Scrabble and always trying to beat my friends or even my parents. I occasionally won, but my parents always ended up wining more than me. This game is advertised for ages 8 and up, so I was quite excited to try it out. I know my daughter loves to play new games, and if that will allow her to put her book down for an hour or so that would be nice.
Here is the basic object of Scrabble Twist Game:
The object of the Scrabble Twist game is to find words in the 5 letters displayed on the game unit. Players just have to tap in the letters and twist the unit to bank a word! The more words a player can find, the higher their score will be. Scoring ranges from 3 points for a 3-letter word, up to 7 points for a 5-letter word. The game features 3 levels, so players can start in Easy mode and work their way up to being a pro, whether playing against others or solo.
Now, there are 3 easy ways to play this game (3 different modes)
- Party mode: Every player gets 15 seconds to bank a word and pass the Scrabble Twist game unit.
- Turbo mode: This is where players are facing head-to-head challenge (2 to 8 players) each player has to get a lot of words to score as many points within 60 seconds.
- Solo Mode: This is where a player is practicing their skills in within 60 seconds
My daughter used the Solo Mode quite often since she wanted to practice her skills. My husband and I played the Turbo Mode and he ended up winning. I think this is great game for children and adults to have fun and try to make words. All you have to do is find a word, tap it in and twist it to score. Simple as that, and best of all you can take the game with you just about anywhere. Are you planning on a trip this holiday season? Well no worries, take it along with you for some fun. This will make a fantastic educational gift idea for the holidays and it retails for $19.99.

I remember used to playing this game all the time. Times do have change. Seem like a fun new twist.
My neighbor was actually talking about the scrabble twist game for her x-mas party that she is planning. Would be interesting to see how it turns out.
