Every year since I can remember, my husband’s grandmother would have a Christmas day puzzle. There was always a special table set up in the corner of the living room specifically for the puzzle. Usually, while the kitchen is bustling with lunch preparations, some cousin, uncle or aunt would open up the box and the fun would begin. Then, throughout the day you would see a collage of relatives surrounding the table trying to solve the Christmas day puzzle. Every year was a new, different and harder puzzle than the previous one, as his grandmother knew she could find a puzzle that would stump us all. It was always so fun to sit around the puzzle table talking to family. I think only one year we didn’t solve the Christmas day puzzle, do to missing pieces, but with thirteen grandchildren running around what do you expect.

I love puzzles and this one is super cute. That would be a great idea to do puzzles on Christmas.
No matter what, Christmas music is always on in our house…it just makes the day whether it is 10 degrees outside or 80!
It’s been so long since I’ve done a puzzle, but I do like them! My dad’s side of the family likes to get together and have sort of a little family party where we listen to holiday music and play dominoes.
That’s a great idea! I haven’t done a puzzle in forever, but I think it would be a fun family project!
We have the same fun tradition…your puzzle looks so fun! Sometimes if the picture was extra cool, I’d cover it with puzzle glue and frame it!

I love this! It’s so fun hearing about everyone’s Christmas day traditions.
My fiance and I usually spend the morning and early afternoon together at home opening presents, munching Christmas cookies and hanging out. Then we head over to his Grandma’s house mid-afternoon and spend the rest of the day with all his family and eat dinner! 🙂

I absolutely LOVE that idea! How fun! I love puzzles and so does my daughter! I may have to steal that idea. Of course, we wont have near that many people to contribute to it. So it may have to be an ongoing thing for the whole month. I like 3D puzzles the best!

That’s a great tradition! We did puzzles a couple of years when I was a child, but we try different activities every year. This year, we’re going to be skiing every chance we get.

My father and I used to do puzzles all the time. I kinda of like this tradition my middle soon loves puzzles as well. We have no “real” tradition this could be something to consider
I think that is a great way to spend Christmas.
We don’t do anything special like that.
We do take the time to open one present at a time so everyone can see what the others get.
Then I prepare a big Christmas meal.
