Starfall

January 26, 2011

I have to tell you all about a site my little one loves to go to. It is Starfall, a FREE educational site to help children learn to read with phonics. When she asks for the computer so she can go to Starfall, I just can’t say no, because I know she is learning. There are so many games and stories that are fun and interactive, it keeps her busy for hours. Kids can learn about the alphabet, phonics, calendar, holidays and more. It truly is an amazing site for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade aged children. There is also a paid section that expands Starfall even more with counting, addition, subtraction and more. I definitely recommend Starfall to everyone with little children, you will not be disappointed.  Enjoy!

Sincerely,

How funny, I was just going to write about this website on my Tech for Tots roundup! I’m not big on a lot of computer time for the PS crowd, but there are some great activities on this site. Glad to hear another family is enjoying their time at Starfall.

Thanks for the information! My 3-yr-old is always begging to play on the computer and he’s bored of pbskids. We’ll try it out this weekend.

We love starfall. We haven’t played in a while but was fairly entertaining to my almost-2-yr-old at the time. I’m sure he would get much more out of it now.

Thanks for visiting today! My daughter and I “do school” on starfall … she loves building the snowmen and pumpkins best of all … but I know she’s learning with all the letters, numbers and words!

    Hi there,

Just wanted to say that my now 15 year-old enjoyed visiting starfall.com when he was much younger. He is an avid reader and computer geek. I really think that his beginnings at starfall.com helped him to be at the level he’s at in his homeschooling journey.
