A Pea in the Pod

February 19, 2012

If you have been wondering where Show Me Mama went? Well guess what? Show Me Mama has been quite busy and has a Pea in the Pod. Yep, I can’t wait for my little one to finally be here.

I am now at 31 weeks pregnant, believe me I feel like I am about to deliver the baby at any moment. However the baby is not due until April. It has been a quite interesting journey so far. I do have to admit that with my first child I did not have morning sickness, but with my second little bundle of joy, I have had quite of bit of morning sickness. I have also been eating everything I can get my hands on.

One of the things that my husband noticed immediately was the change in my appetite. I normally would never finish a plate of food. Now I look at him funny if he even thinks he is going to get a nibble off my plate. I even try to eat some of his food. LOL. Also, I have become quite comfortable summoning my husband for a midnight snack. Yep, each night I have peanut butter sandwiches, glasses of milk or orange juice, strawberries, and cantaloupe. Yummy!

However, after every joy comes the pain. Believe me, now that my tummy is larger, sleeping comfortably can be quite hard. I have been experiencing some backaches and the only way I can feel at ease is by stacking several pillows behind my back.  My husband calls me the pillow thief, and I sure admit it with pride. LOL.  Taking lots of showers has provided some great relief too.

After all of that, I can hardly wait for our new addition to be part of our wonderful family  and wanted to share this wonderful news with all of my readers.

QUESTION: Now, here is a little question that I would love for you all to answer.  Based on my picture, let me know what you think my little bundle of joy would be.  Will it be a BOY or a GIRL?  I would love to read all of your comments.

I hope you will be reading some of my future pregnancy milestones and share some of yours as well, if you are a future mommy as well.

Sincerely,

Congrats! Since I had bad morning sickness with my daughter, my guess is a girl.

I say boy. And Congratulations! I had much worse morning sickness with my 2nd than with my first and they were both boys so I guess you never know. 🙂

I love all the superstitions and old customs (yes, Greeks have them too) I remember the grandmothers doing things. It was fun! I’m going to guess a boy, simply because it is all out front, like mine was. You are a tiny little thing and it’s going to be a big one I think. BTW, you are the cutest mommy-to-be and I wish to send you my warmest best wishes and congratulations.
