Holiday Gift Guide: Have Fun, Molly Lou Melon

November 26, 2012

As most of  you know, I love to find great books for my daughter to read. And as always, I found this wonderful book called: Have Fun, Molly Lou Melon by Patty Lovell.

It is about a little girl named Molly Lou Mellon, who has a great imagination and lots of creativity in her little brain that can make her background seem to look as a place full a fun. Molly Lou Melon has a neighbor named Gertie. Gertie has all the latest technology such as a cell phone, toys and of course a huge TV. Even though Gertie has all those expensive items, she is still very bored. That is where Mary Lou Melon comes in and shows Gertie how fun playing games in her backyard can be fun without using all those fancy items.

I always tell my daughter that life is not all about using the most up date toys, or technology to have fun with , you can also make your own homemade games and have a real fun time as well.

Author Patty Lovell grew up in Levittown, NY and loves teaching children how important it is to use their imagination and be creative. By using every possible skill you have within you to come up with the most exciting game ever. This not only encourages young children to use their minds, but also gives them the chance to have fun outside instead of looking at a screen 24/7.  This allows then to get some fresh air and enjoy their own games even better.  Have Fun, Molly Lou Melon is available at the Amazon.

I definitely recommend this as a great book and Christmas gift for all those little ones.

Sincerely,
