First Day of 2nd Grade!

August 27, 2013

Well  it sure has been a fun and exciting first day of school for Ms. Sophia. My little princess is getting bigger everyday, and now she is entering 2nd grade and loving it.

Friday, September 23rd we had “Meet The Teacher” day, and believe me the school was really packed. It was only for an hour where Sophia had a chance to meet her new teacher for the first time and also see some of her old and new classmates. We made our way through all the excitement and received tons of school information from the school administration. We finally headed to Sophia’s 2nd grade classroom, and it was not far from her 1st grade class. She has a very nice teacher Mrs. Walker, who introduced herself and gave us some classroom information to complete.

Sunday was a hectic day for Ms. Sophia, because she had to go back to her bed time routine when school is back in session. I liked to be prepared too, so I ironed all her clothes, had everything prepared and was ready to leave the house on time. The first day of school is always so busy, so is better to leave the house a little bit earlier than usual. Of course the school changed the drop off and pick up routine, so everyone was even more confused taking their kids to school.

We arrived early and had a chance to walk Sophia to her class. Little William was so excited to enter the school premises and wanted to see Sophia’s class too.  Sophia was a little nervous because she did not know yet who all would be in her class, until she saw some of her Kindergarten and First grade pals, so became extremely HAPPY.  Her face lit up. Mrs. Walker greeted Sophia and shook her hand and Daddy noticed immediately that Mrs. Walker was an ‘Aggie’ because she had an Texas A&M necklace on. He said his sister and mom will like that.

As always I took a few snap shots, and we were ready to leave our  Big Girl Sophia alone to learn about new things and make new friends as well. It is truly a magical moment we will never forget. Daddy gave Sophia a kiss and we waved goodbye.

Well I hope your little ones had a great First Day of School too! Enjoy every moment  with your little ones because they grow up really fast.

Until next time!

Sincerely,
