Black Pumpkin Decor

October 10, 2013

Here I am again with another quick and easy Halloween craft. Whether it will be for inside or outside, you know your house will look absolutely beautiful with this Black Pumpkin.  This was another fun, easy project my daughter and I truly had a blast making.

Materials:

  • Pumpkin (any size you wish)
  • Black Spray paint or acrylic paint (it all depends on you)
  • White Foam
  • Hot glue gun
  • Glue Stick
  • Mask to cover nose and mouth

First, what you do is wipe your pumpkin clean, then you will get some newspapers and place them underneath the pumpkin.  Now you are ready to spray away. Make sure you cover your nose and mouth with a mask. Let it dry in the sun and set aside.

It is so funny, because I really wanted to leave the pumpkin  black until my daughter came home after school and stated “Momma, your pumpkin needs a face”. So I told her, well what are we waiting for then. I didn’t really want to cut out the pumpkin to make eyes, however I decided to get white foam which I already had on hand. Sophia  cut out some triangles and a smile shape.  Now it was time to attach it to the pumpkin.  I reached for my hot glue gun and glued the triangle shaped eyes and smiley mouth shape onto the pumpkin and it was complete.

All I had do was decorate around the pumpkin and it looked scary but also beautiful. My husband stated that the black pumpkin looks a little like the black masked Spiderman.

Any similarities?  I think a little 🙂

Well, enjoy and stay tuned for more Halloween craft projects.
