Sam and Coodles: The Room at the End of the Hall Book Giveaway-CLOSED

October 29, 2013

Sam-And-Coodles

Many of my wonderful readers know that we love to read books in my house.  I definitely encourage reading in my home, and I feel blessed that my daughter can read to me. I love to see her face light up when she does it on her own. I was given the opportunity to review the book called:  Sam and Coodles: The Room at the End of the Hall by Adrienne Durkin.  This is a great book for any family who is having an addition to the family, or who is expecting a little one while they already have on older sibling.  It is a great transitioning book to prepare for the new member of the family.

Let me tell you a little bit about the book  Sam and Coodles: The Room at the End of the Hall by Adrienne Durkin.   Sam’s parents are expecting a baby, so they are preparing a new big boy room for Sam.  Sam does not like the idea of leaving his current room to go into the new room.  So his parents are trying every effort to get Sam involved in getting his big room ready without any luck. Sam and Coodles, his stuffed armadillo, like to keep everything the way it is is.

From my own experience, my daughter was the only child for 6 years and now she has a brother. At first it was a little hard to adjust, because she was used to getting all the attention and now she had to divide the attention with her brother. That’s why it is very important as parents to make the transition as easy and simple as possible.  We always told Sophia that she will be our favorite First born Daughter and William will be our favorite son and we love you both equally.  This book is a great book to guide parents through the transition process when expecting another child.  I love the illustrations in the book, and the colors were pleasant on the eye and it would definitely make a great gift as well.  The book has 32 pages with full color illustrations throughout and retails for $15.95

Win:  One lucky Show Me Mama reader will win their very own Sam and Coodles: The Room at the End of the Hall by Adrienne Durkin book.

I would love to win this book for my nephew. He’s been the baby of the family but now his mommy is expecting a new baby. Sometimes kids have a hard time with new adjustments even though a new baby is a happy time for the adults.
