The holidays are here and we all are running around town shopping for gifts for our loved ones. You get so busy that you barely have enough time to sit down and have nice meal.  Well don’t worry, Show Me Mama will allow you to take a little break so you can relax and have yourself a nice healthy meal that will give you enough energy to pick yourself up and continue your holiday shopping  adventure. Let me tell you all about Salata, The Next Generation Salad Bar.

You can create your own meal (salad or wrap) from a delicious variety of fresh fruits, lettuces, veggies, fruits, nuts, cheeses, meats, seafood and lots more.  You  also have several options of delicious Salata all-natural dressings to choose from. It is all up to you. I loved the Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Here is a bonus as well. During the holiday season through December 31st, Salata has added smoked turkey to their menu. Isn’t that great.  Here is some more information regarding the smoked turkey:

  • The turkey is locally sourced from Sadler’s Smokehouse, a family-owned operation in Henderson, Texas that has been in business since 1948.
  • Each breast is smoked for eight to ten hours over low heat to infuse flavor and retain juiciness.
  • Customers can add smoked turkey to a salad for $4 or a wrap for $3 (same price as Salata’s premium seafood offerings).
  • Salata’s smoked turkey is a flavorful, seasonal offering that pairs nicely with the restaurant’s regular selection of more than 50 fresh, healthy ingredients.
  • Salata’s Texas locations are gluten-free certified.

I really wanted to try the smoked turkey so I added that to my salad, and it sure tasted in amazing. The smoked turkey was well flavored and it sure made my salad taste even better.  Even though I know the smoked turkey is only available until December 31st, I wish they could add it to their menu permanently.  I guess I have to make a second trip before it will be too late!

Visit their website for more information and to plan your next visit to Salata you can always look up the nearest location on their website as well.

Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,
