Holiday Gift Guide: Axel’s Chain Reaction-Storybook App

My daughter loves her ipad, and I am telling you she always asks me or her daddy if we know of any new apps.  As always, I like to find educational apps that will not only be fun for her, but where  she can learn new things as well. I had the opportunity to review  Axel’s Chain Reaction story book app by Allison Pomenta. It is about a very creative little boy who has difficulty fitting in school.  He is in 3rd grade and enjoys making things.  Some of things that Axel does  is he can’t sit still in class, he can’t keep his hands to himself , during playtime the loud noise is very distracting to him so  he can’t focus at all. He has trouble making friends and of course their is a bully who is called Daniel causing even more trouble.  These are some of the challenges that a lot of children have to deal with.

Alex is mesmerized and also inspired by the Kinetic Arts so he is excited to make a mind blowing moving sculpture that will showcase his amazing talents and get the attention of his classmates. After a few little mishaps, Axel finally makes  artwork he is satisfied with.  He is not the only one that will be participating in this exhibit, oh no.  While the other children were getting ready to set up their art work, something unpleasant occurred. Axel was ready to lend a helping hand and found a solution to all  the problems in an unusual and marvelous way.

The story app is well written, fun, interactive and definitely educational. If you are well aware of neurodivergent kids (autism, tourettes, ADHD and so on)  You will immediately recognize these symptoms in Axel.  I enjoyed the app and how it is professionally put together.  The artwork  is quite exceptional, the music is really fun, and it makes you have a happy feeling inside.

This is also one of my favorite apps that I would definitely recommend for anyone to try.  It will make any child happy and it is fun as well.

Go visit Axel’s Chain Reaction to get more information and you can also connect with them via facebook and twitter.

Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,
