When it comes to food choices, my family and I are trying our best to eat healthy foods.  It is very important to treat your body good, so you can live a happy and healthy life.  So I must say that I am quite excited to mention to you all that I was selected to be a  Carrington Farms All Good April Ambassador!  This is a month-long event of all things that are ” Good and Healthy” which is hosted by healthy food brand Carrington Farms.

As I mentioned before we love cooking with healthy products and since I received some amazing products to review I shall tell you all about them.  One of my favorite products to cook with is definitely coconut oil.  Since I was little, my mom always cooked with coconut oil and I still love the taste of it in my food.  Not only do I use it in my food, I also rub it on my skin because it makes your skin smooth and soft. My husband and kids always use it when they are making popcorn.

Here is a little bit about Carrington Farms and what they stand for:
Since 2000, Carrington Farms has been making delicious, 100% organic, non-genetically modified Health Food Products accessible to nutrition-conscious consumers around the United States. Our comprehensive line of flax and coconut oil products serves a range of purposes, from conditioning hair and nails to weight loss and staving off chronic disease. From our pure whole seed flax to our chia blends and cold-pressed organic extra virgin coconut oil, all of Carrington Farms’ vitamin and mineral-full health food products are a great way to start adding a little more nutrition to your everyday life!

Now here comes the fun part.  I received following Carrington Farms  products Coconut Cooking Oil 16 fl. oz, Organic Milled Flax – 14 oz Pouch and Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil – 12 oz tub.

photo 2Carrington Farms extra-virgin coconut oil is certified organic, has no trans & hydrogenated fats, and is perfect for healthy high heat cooking up to 350 F.  I decided to use the Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil from the tub to add to some delicious smoothies.  It was quite yummy and even my son and daughter loved it.  I put one table spoon of coconut oil, strawberries, 2 bananas, 1 mango, yogurt, honey, some coconut milk and last but not least some crushed ice.  Then, I mixed it all together and I made my delicious smoothies.

The Organic Milled Flax Seed comes in a resealable package, and it is all about freshness and purity.  My husband tried it out and sprinkled it on his salad and I decided to try it out.  It has a little nutty texture to it while eating it.  All I can think while eating my salad is that it is all healthy and my body will thank me for it. I decided to add it to my fruit salad as well since I love the nutty texture of it.

LCO_16oz_Unflavored__50729.1393618234.368.368The Coconut Cooking Oil comes in a 16 fl. oz.  Here is some more information about it: The oil retains all the health benefits of traditional coconut oil but does not have the flavor or odor of coconuts, and the bonus part is that it remains liquid! The Carrington Farms Coconut Cooking Oil is naturally rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) which is efficiently utilized by the body for energy production and helps aid in calorie burning.

I like seasoning my chicken with it before hand to give it that extra moisture.  One the best things I love about this coconut cooking oil, is that is does not have an odor.  I also use it make my pancakes, or when I make my yucca root soup. You can make anything and everything with this coconut oil, it is up to you what you want to do with.  Believe me I have some great ideas up my sleeve to on what to make with this oil.

I never thought to mix coconut oil into a smoothie! I love coconut oil, I use it to make my natural products and cook delicious food. I’m dying to try it in a smoothie too. Is the coconut cooking oil a fractionated coconut oil to keep it in liquid form? I’ve never used liquid coconut oil. Thanks for the great post!
