I was quite delighted to be able to a review of the “David and the Hairy Beast” app. I know that when I was little my mom used to read me the story about young King David and I was always fascinated by the story. The fun interactive app is about the early life of King David shown through a children’s book series. It really will make your little ones happy and thrilled to try it out. The app, is based on the popular Young David Books, and allows children to interact with the stories, increasing their interest in reading.
The Young David series is written by Fiona Veitch Smith has beautiful illustrations from by Amy Barnes. What I love about the series is that they are available as a hard copy book too.
There are a total of 6 books in the series: David and the Hairy Beast, David and the Kingmaker, David and the Giant, David and the Lonely Prince, David and the Grumpy King and David and the Never-ending Kingdom. “Each book in the series is based on the biblical stories of David and focuses on the formative events in King David’s childhood as he faces the universal challenges of friendship, trust, faith and courage”.
The Young David Books app is available for iPad It features the first four of the Young David Books, “David and the Hairy Beast,” “David and the Kingmaker,” “David and the Giant” and “David and the Lonely Prince.” Additional titles will be released in the near future.
The David and the Hairy Beast app is an easy to use app, where any child can touch the wonderfully illustrated images and they will see the most adorable movements happening. Each story is fully packed with original animations your kids little hands can make objects zip, ping, bounce, float and expand across each page. It is definitely fun, entertaining and functional. All of these fun stories are a wonderful imaginative retelling of the Bible story of the earlier life of David. The wording of the stories are so easy to read and will keep each child occupied. It is a great interactive app where little ones get to learn about God’s love in a very unique and creative way. I definitely would recommend the Young David Book series and I know you and your family will enjoy both the series and the app.
