Butter Ball Turkey Roast feature and giveaway-CLOSED!

November 10, 2015

turkey1

Who doesn’t like a good meal on Thanksgiving Day!  Well I know my family does, and I know your will too.  That is why we started a little bit early to prepare a delicious Turkey Roast from Butterball.  I call it our pre-Thanksgiving meal.

As always my husband loves to cook, so he decided to make a Turkey Roast and I couldn’t wait to taste it.  He went to the store and bought one of those Butterball Boneless Turkey Breast Roasts. However he didn’t realize he bought the Butterball White and Dark Meat Turkey Roast. I was actually glad he messed up because I love the dark turkey meat better anyways. The roast comes wrapped in a netting for easier roasting, but he decided to free the turkey from its netting so he could wrap the roast with bacon.

turkey4

First he seasoned the turkey meat with salt and pepper and some of his other special seasonings. Then he laid out bacon on a plate in rows and placed the turkey meat on top. Since the turkey was out of it’s netting he slightly shaped the pieces back into a log shape on top of the bacon. Then he wrapped the entire roast with the strips of bacon. He flipped it over and then placed the roast in the oven.

Now it was time to peel the potatoes, bring them to boil and then mashing them with some melted butter and roasted garlic.  The Butterball Turkey Roast comes with a gravy packet which he also added more juices from the turkey roast. We also made a delicious salad to go along with the rest of our meal. The turkey roast was done, so he took it out of the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. We got out the plates and he sliced some beautifully delicious slices of the turkey roast. Then he added a nice pile of mashed potatoes and poured gravy over both the turkey and potatoes. Finally he added some salad and we had a wonderful meal of roast turkey. It sure was delicious and the turkey was super juicy.

Get ready to make your delicious Thanksgiving meal.  Go and see some of Butterball amazing products on their website.
