Well, I am so excited to let you all know that we had our First Thanksgiving meal at our home. Yes, after 13 years living in our home, today has been the first time we actually cooked our First Thanksgiving meal at our home. We always tend to visit relatives or friends for Thanksgiving and they do all the cooking. So, this time around it was different. I felt so excited to start cooking along side my husband.
We started at around 9:30 in the morning as my husband went out in the backyard and turned on the grill to make a smoked turkey. He had seasoned thoroughly and it already look good. Oh, my it looked absolutely delicious and couldn’t wait to sink my teeth in that turkey. However, he said it’s going to be a few hours before this bird is ready.
I ended up making the mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cream corn, carrots with green beans, deviled eggs and of course some gravy to go with it. For dessert we had a pecan pie and a cookie and cream pie. It was so much fun cooking and talking about what we as a family are Thankful for. My daughter replied back that she was Thankful for being home with us, having friends, family, her brother and just being here all together. It sure made my heart melt. I am Thankful for having a remarkable family who has been there for me through many situations, my 
friends, neighbors, God, being healthy and alive, my wonderful husband and children and lots more. After having the chance to cook this amazing Thanksgiving meal, I know we will have to do it again real soon.
