Ok, I love when I receive a gift and the wrapping is absolutely to die for. It could even be the simpliest gift, but I believe when you gift wrap a present it looks like a million bucks. What I love to do, and I know most of you out there will agree with me; when I see a bow, paper or bag that is still in good condition and cute also, I will recycle it. You never know when a wedding, birthday party, baby shower, or any other special occasion may pop up. So it’s always good to know I have some back-ups standing by. Since, Christmas is days away, how about if I share with you some wonderful Christmas gift wrapping ideas that will definitely put a smile on your face. Here are few ideas:
1. A thrifty and fun way to wrap presents, is to use old newspaper comics, magazines or even maps.
2. You could use old brown paper grocery sacks. To make them even more special, have you little one paint or glue some wonderful Christmas decorations on them.
3. Furoshiki, which is a Japanese folding method where you wrap your gift in cloth.
4. Cut up old Christmas cards and use them as gift tags.
5. Get some roll paper and let the little one go wild with paint, crayons, or even stamps.
6. Take an old t-shirt and make a tote-bag.
7. Turn your gift wrapping scraps into a bow.
8. Print out some Christmas sheet music and add some ribbon for a beautiful gift wrap.
By dressing up and decorating your gifts even with your basic supplies around the house, you can turn an ordinary gift into an extra-special gift. It will be customized, personal and will definitely be noticed underneath the Christmas tree.
Have fun gift wrapping those lovely Christmas Gifts!
Happy Holidays

I like using magazines and newspaper. and using fancy Duck tape as faux ribbon .
I have to admit, I absolutely LOVE receiving presents wrapped in the Sunday newspaper comics. It’s so colorful and FUN. I’ve never heard of Furoshiki, but it’s absolutely beautiful & such a wonderful idea to try! 🙂

That is a great idea to use the scraps of wrapping paper for a bow. I always wonder what to do with them and hate wasting it! Thanks!
