Seasoned Grilled Chicken meal

August 23, 2015

My family and I enjoy watching cooking shows, and they sure do make it look so easy when you watch them prepare a nice meal. It has been a while since I posted a food recipe so I decided to make a quick and easy seasoned Grilled Chicken Meal for the family.

In our home we love to cook together.  My husband loves to grill just about anything. This time he grilled some chicken.  He usually seasons the chicken the day before, to allow the seasoning to marinate into the chicken.  Even though it was blazing hot Texas summer day outside it did not stop him from grilling some chicken.

As he was outside I prepared the rest of the meal.  I started off with boiling the green beans with a little bit of salt, and then added some fresh peeled carrots to it.  Then, I was off to dice some cloves of garlic and onions and peel some potatoes.  It took me approximately 20 minutes to do all the prep work.  In the heated skillet I placed 1 tablespoon of butter along with the diced garlic and then added  the green beans and carrots. Stir it for a few seconds, turn off the heat and set aside.  It already looked so tasty. I boiled the potatoes, mashed them, added butter, salt and diced garlic.  It was light and fluffy and well seasoned indeed.  I quickly made some chicken gravy with some chicken broth.

Finally, it was time to set the table and eat.  If I must say myself, the kids liked it and even ate seconds.

Ingredients: Chicken

1 lb boneless chicken
1 tablespoon butter
2 cloves of garlic (diced)
1/2 onion (diced)
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 table spoon of honey
Freshly cracked black pepper
Sea salt, to taste
2 table spoons of Soy Sauce

Directions:

Add half of the ingredients (marinated sauce) in a bowl and mix the boneless chicken and let it marinate for a day.  You can also get a zip lock bag and pour in the mixture making sure to coat the boneless chicken by shaking the bag thoroughly. Whichever method you prefer it will turn out just fine.  The next day you will grill the marinated chicken.

Cut the grilled chicken in slices and pour it over a heated skillet with butter.  Use the other half of the ingredients (marinated sauce) and pour it in with the chicken.  Keep stirring until it get’s all brown.  After 5 minutes turn the heat off and it is time to serve  your meal.

Enjoy and happy eating!
