Two-Faced Halloween Pumpkin!

October 28, 2010

Well, today was a very interesting day for us. Sophia wanted to make a two-faced Halloween Pumpkin. So as a Mommy, I had to obviously put my thinking hat on. We already had a few pumpkins carved and had some white spray paint at hand, and of course some paint. Sophia wanted one side of the pumpkin a girl and the other side a boy.

So I ended up spraying the entire pumpkin with white spray paint and then let it dry for 30 minutes. After it was dry we started to paint the top portion of the pumpkin black. That of course would be the hair. Then, we ended up painting some wonderful eye brows and the boy was done.

The next step was to paint the beautiful girl (LOL). Sophia wanted her eyes to be very big and have long eye lashes and lovely lips which she wanted to paint pink. Finally, we had to let it dry for a few minutes and once it was finished they had to be put on display. LOL. So, during the day we will showcase our girl and at night we will showcase the boy and place a light inside to show it off. How about that? Sophia was so happy with her Two-Faced Halloween Pumpkin, she ended up painting her small pumpkin as well. She wanted it pink and blue, her two favorite colors. Hope you all enjoy it. It is all about having fun, using your imagination and just being creative with your pumpkins.

Sincerely,

Isn’t Sophie the cutest thing. I just love seeing how children use their imagination. What a cute idea and how smart to have a sweet girl for the day and scary jack-o-lantern at night.

    Hugs…Tracy 🙂
