Bento Lunch Boxes!

February 19, 2011

Ok, I must be living underneath a rock or something, because I did not know what Bento Lunch Boxes were until I happened to stumble upon an image of one. If you didn’t know either, a Bento Box is a Japanese lunch box. When I saw one my eyes were wide open with amazement. I was totally in shock on how much creativity and time is put into making these Bento Lunch Boxes. I think these are great for any child to enjoy, it makes eating fun, and by the looks healthy too. Even I would have a big smile on my face enjoying one for a meal.

These would definitely come in handy when my little Sophia will be going off to school. So I really need to start practicing on my Bento Lunch Box skills. I have gathered a few Bento Lunches that I found on various sites. Be prepared for a moment of joy, shock, and inspiration.

You right, but believe me there are some moms out there that will make them. 🙂 As for me, I will try my best to do a few, but I can’t promise that it will be an everyday situation :). They are beautiful!

I think these are so cute! There’s a site that I like to go and look at sometimes that has a lot of pictures of Bento lunches, I’ll have to come back when I remember the name of it! My boy is 14 so I doubt he would like to take something like this to school though.

I love Bento Lunch Boxes! Whenever I go to a Japanese place for lunch I quickly go over the menu to see if they have them. The variety is always great and it more than satisfies you.

I have to admit I have never seen a children’s version of a Bento Lunch Box. Great images!

I use to make Bento boxes for my fiancé to take to work with him. I made flowers, hearts and stars mostly. When I got a job in 2009 for Christmas I used the box for myself and all the ladies I worked with loved how cute the box was and how the food always looked great.

Wished I had time to do them now!

Wow! Never heard of these either, but way cute… But looks so darn involved to make in the mornings for school lunch… Probably stay up all night making it… Do they stay in place when carried to school?! Kinda different… Ty for sharing…

I saw these and besides the shock and awe knew if I could ever master this that there would be pictues and it would possibly be framed- and never eaten. The only time it would come out is to admire it with people surrounding me 🙂
