I am so excited to share with you all my reupholstered chairs. If you don’t know me yet, I am addicted to chairs. I love chairs. If I noticed that a chair has a solid frame, I will go above and beyond to find the perfect fabric to get the chair all fixed up just like new.
If you didn’t know, I bought these two French chairs several years ago from craigslist. I just loved the look and the frame of the chairs. They are very comfortable, solid, and are great accent chairs.
As you can see I reupholstered these babies two times before. First they were pink, then bright yellow, and they were all done by me. Yes, I put a lot of work into them. However, this time around I wanted it to be done by a professional. They really did a superb job and I love them.
At first I wanted to get new accent chairs, so one day my husband and I decided to go into High Fashion fabric store to look. He came upon a French chair which looks exactly like mine, however these were selling for about $900+ for each chair. I am a gal on a budget, so I was weighing in my options. I looked at the chair from top to bottom, and snapped a few pictures, but what really caught my eye was the fabric. The fabric was stunning with colorful watercolor prints on it and it will go with just about anything in my house. Since the store sells fabric, I assumed they would sell the fabric too there, however they didn’t.
So, I went home and the search was on for the fabric. I had to search for a while, but eventually I found the fabric and bought 8 yards. I took my chairs in to be reupholstered, and now I have my new wonderful chairs in the living room. They are my happy-go-lucky chairs. I ended up only paying $900 plus delivery for both of chairs, instead of one.
So, if you have a chair that you truly love, but the fabric is old and worn out, don’t throw it away. Just get yourself a nice fabric and get it reupholstered for a brand new look.
