Johnsonville Continental Breakfast Recipe

October 11, 2015

Wow, I can’t believe that we are already in October.  Time flies when you have kids and you’re having fun!  I do admit that when the weather is getting colder I love to prepare a nice hot breakfast for the kids each morning.  Not only do I believe that a good breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but it also provides them with enough protein for them to have energy to stay focused and mentally prepared during class hours and more. This of course makes me happy and I know you will feel the same way too.

So, with the help of Johnsonville products, I decided to prepare a delicious Continental breakfast for the entire family.

I was excited to try Johnsonville fresh Original Recipe Breakfast Sausage Links threeOhSeven

I first started off  by placing the sausage links in a nice well heated skillet.  I just love the sizzling sound of the sausages in the skillet. It’s like music to my ears.  The aroma of the sausages surrounded the entire room and both of my kids were screaming that it sure smells yummy.  Who doesn’t like to cook when they hear that?  Once the sausages had a nice brown color I placed them on top of a paper towel and let them cool down.  I then sliced them in few pieces and set them aside.

I poured into a bowl the eggs,  finely diced tomato and onion, added salt and mixed them all together to give it that fluffy texture.  I heated up the same skillet and a little grease from the sausage links and poured in the egg mixture.  Once again there was music to my ears when I heard that wonderful sizzling sound.  I mixed it all together like scrambled eggs, and voila it was done.

johnsonville3I placed the flour tortilla on my cutting board and placed some scrambled eggs on top of it and then added the delicious Johnsonville sausage links on top of the eggs.  Now it was time to fold the ends and roll up the tortilla.  I cut the breakfast taco right in the center and it was was done.

johnsonville5In order to complete the Johnsonville Continental Breakfast Recipe I added as sides some fresh cut strawberries, blackberries, some hash browns and more sausage links.  Who said we can’t have more sausage links if we like them right?  To complete the breakfast I poured a fresh glass of orange juice.  Now, I do call this a good breakfast to start off your day and my family sure enjoyed it a lot.
